Turkwaz performing music for MabelleArts Iftar Nights every Thursday evening during Ramadan 2018, leading the parade until the sunset call to prayer, and again singing around the campfire following the meal.
Turkwaz will be performing with our guests from our 2017 Juno nominated CD “Nazar” at the Aga Khan Museum. We look forward to collaborating again with Ernie Tollar (winds), Demetri Petsalakis (oud, lyra), Andrew Downing (cello) and Naghmeh Farahmand (percussion).

Come join us for a great showcase of culturally diverse music, beginning with Turkwaz at 9pm. We will be followed by Leyla McCalla, Quantum Tango, Kaia Kater and Nive & the Deer Children.

Join us for an evening of music and dancing!
The wonderful Terri Taggart will lead an informal lesson of Greek and Macedonian dances, accompanied by Zephyr (Brenna MacCrimmon, Demetri Petsalakis, Jaash Singh).
Turkwaz will close the night with a set, beginning at 8:45 pm.

Turkwaz appeared in a triple bill with GROOZ and Sandcatchers at the launch of Polyphonic Ground. This concert was co-presented by Ashkenaz Festival and Small World Music.
