SING! in Concert: Global Voices – Women in A Cappella – Global Voices features the spectacular sounds of Canadian global divas Tamar Ilana, Meher Pavri, Suba Sankaran (curator), Jordana Talsky and Turkwaz. Take a spin around the world in 55 minutes with a cappella music spanning several centuries and styles, from live-looping to opera, flamenco dance to Eastern Mediterranean and Balkan songs, with unexpected stops in between. This is where singing goes beyond borders and cultures collide! Tickets range from $14.64 to $27.96
Turkwaz will be featured in The Common Thread Community Chorus concert presentation of “Inspirations” – Songs of Women and Peace. Tickets are $25 for Adults and Youth; and $10 for children under 12 years old. Tickets are available through eventbrite by credit card; or at the door on the day of the concert by cash or cheque only. We look forward to seeing you there!

His son Nazir Alimov will be joining on saxophone and his wife, Bergen Alimov will teach some dances that go with the music that Nizo will be presenting in the evening.
